Our commitment

Offensive X aims to correct material errors promptly, transparently, and proportionately. Readers, sources, clients, and team members may report a possible error through our Contact page and should include the Insight title, URL, disputed statement, and supporting evidence where available.

What we correct

We correct factual inaccuracies, incorrect dates or figures, broken or misleading references, significant omissions, misidentification, technical instructions that could cause harm, and wording that materially changes the meaning of a claim. Minor spelling, grammar, formatting, and style improvements may be fixed without a correction note when they do not alter meaning.

Review process

A reported issue is assessed against the original sources, current authoritative information, and any relevant records. We may contact the reporter or subject for clarification. The person who wrote the content should not be the only person deciding a disputed material correction.

Correction outcomes

When a material error is confirmed, we update the affected passage and add a clear correction or update note describing what changed and why. If the central premise of an Insight is unreliable, we may substantially revise it, add an editor note, or withdraw it from publication. We do not silently remove a material error.

Timing

High-risk errors involving security, privacy, safety, legal requirements, or financial impact are prioritized. Other reports are reviewed as soon as reasonably practicable. Complex disputes may require additional verification before an outcome is published.

Disagreements

A disagreement with analysis or opinion is not automatically a factual error. Where reasonable interpretations differ, we may clarify the basis of the analysis or add relevant context rather than change a supported conclusion.

Historical integrity

Updated content retains its original publication date. When a material change is made, the page may also show an updated date or correction note so readers can understand the publication history.
